Earth Cargo sends A.M.S. (automated manifest system) Manifest Data more than 24 hours before leaving the origin port in order to comply with regulations imposed by the department of Homeland Security.
Earth Customs then pre-clears all cargo when it leaves the port of origin.
This state-of-the-art system for processing shipments is exclusive to Earth Cargo-Earth Customs customers.
All shipment data is interfaced and traceable from prior to departing the origin port through to destination. This equates to real time information, reduced cost, accessibility of cargo upon arrival of carrier and a level of safety that is necessary for global shipping. FOB (Free on Board): Term only applies to sea transports when the seller delivers when the goods pass the ship's rail in the port of shipment. The buyer has to bear all costs and risk of loss or damage to the goods from that point. The seller must clear the goods for export. Use FCA for similar airfreight/truck.
CFR (Cost and Freight): Term only applies to sea transports. Seller delivers when the goods pass the ship's rail at the port of shipment. The seller must pay the costs and freight necessary to bring the goods to the name port of destination. The risk of loss or damage to the goods, as well as any additional costs due to events occurring after the time of delivery are transferred from the seller to the buyer. The seller must clear the goods for export. Use CPT for similar airfreight/truck.
